Bubble Wrap Radio is a two hour radio show on WVEW LP, a low power FM station in Brattleboro, VT. You can find the station on the web at wvew.org. Bubble Wrap airs from 7:00 to 9:00 PM every Wednesday evening, live on the airwaves for locals and via web stream for our friends from away (see the station web site for details).
As with its predecessor, the Indie Disco Radio Hour, Bubble Wrap features a mix of current and classic indie music of all genres, with heavy emphasis on the music of now. Supplementing the indie is the disco side of things, including funk, soul, r&B, hip hop, and above all, go go (DC’s local offshoot of funk and hip hop, called Go Go because it don’t stop, y’all!). To keep our listeners on their toes, we usually include some weirdness from the past as well — old pop songs that no one remembers anymore, theme park interstitial music, classic PSAs from old time radio (you know, the ’50s), and more.
